Digital dating abuse happens everyday, and many teens don't realize it's abuse.

It can look like:
-Obsessive texts and demanding an immediate response
-Stealing passwords
-Tracking locations or demanding to know where they are
-Pressuring someone to send photos they're not comfortable with
-Controlling who they can follow, friend, or message
-Posting private conversations to embarrass them

None of this is love. It's control.

If you or a teen you know needs help, reach out to "Love Is Respect" at 1-866-331-9474 or text LOVEIS to 22522.

February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month.🧑

Parents, talking to your kids about relationships matters. Let them know they deserve respect, safety, and boundaries that are honored. Remind them that jealousy, control, and pressure are not signs of love.

Keep the door open...your support can make all the difference.🫢

New Year, new goals! For military members and families, 2026 is the perfect time to focus on building resilience. Military life has its own unique set of challenges, and setting resilience goals can help you and your family not just survive but thrive.

Here are a few ideas for your 2026 resilience goals:

πŸ’ͺ Strengthen Your Mind
Mental and emotional health are the bedrock of resilience. This year, focus on developing a positive mindset and healthy coping mechanisms.
* Practice Mindfulness: Incorporate mindfulness or meditation into your daily routine to better understand and manage your thoughts and emotions.
* Challenge Negative Self-Talk: Actively work on replacing negative thoughts with positive and humorous ones. A positive inner narrative can directly impact your feelings and performance.
* Seek Challenges: Step out of your comfort zone to build confidence. This can be anything from learning a new skill to pushing yourself physically.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Connect with Your Community
Strong relationships are a vital support system.
* Build Healthy Relationships: Invest time in relationships with family, friends, and coworkers based on mutual respect, empathy, and support.
* Get Involved: Participate in community activities or volunteer. Contributing to something larger than yourself can foster a sense of belonging and purpose.

πŸ“š Enhance Your Skills
Take advantage of the many resources available to military families.
* Explore Education Opportunities: The Tuition Assistance (TA) program provides financial aid for voluntary off-duty education programs, supporting your personal and professional growth.
* Utilize Resilience Programs: Hanscom’s Integrated Prevention & Resilience Office (bldg. 1240) and Resilience Training Assistants (RTAs) offer training to enhance family closeness, communication, and problem-solving.

πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ Focus on Physical Wellness
Physical health is deeply connected to mental and emotional well-being.
* Stay Active: Regular physical activity can boost your mood and energy levels. .
* Prioritize Sleep and Nutrition: Ensure you're getting enough rest and eating a balanced diet to maintain your physical and mental stamina.
*
Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength. Don't hesitate to reach out to resources like the Military Family Life Counselor, Employee Assistance Program or Military OneSource for confidential support.

By setting intentional resilience goals, you and your family can navigate the challenges of military life with greater strength and confidence in 2026.

We hit the ground running to remind the Hanscom community how much they matter! πŸ’œπŸ©΅

Our amazing volunteers lined the streets with signs of positive messages-reminders that "you are valued", "you are not alone ", and "you are resilient." πŸ’ͺ

The response? Pure joy.😊 We saw endless smiles, waves, thumbs-ups, and a symphony of honking horns from folks who loved the encouragement. πŸš—πŸŽ΅πŸ‘‹πŸ‘

Thank you to our awesome Command Team who distributed su***de prevention resources to those driving on the base. Your support keeps us doing what we love to do! 🌟
