The Hanscom Public Health Office can send out ticks for testing as long as the tick is intact, pulled off a human and stored in a sealed plastic bag.

Ticks live in grassy, brushy or wooded areas. Spending time outside walking your dog, camping, gardening or hunting could bring you in close contact with ticks. Learn what you should do before going outdoors, after you come indoors, how to properly remove a tick and more here.

Attention TRICARE beneficiaries!

You may experience intermittent delays when using MHS GENESIS Patient Portal features during the Annual OpenLink Password Change update on Thursday, March 5, 2026, 12:30-1:30 a.m. ET (one hour).

During this time, the update may temporarily affect certain features, including filling prescriptions and receiving laboratory or radiology results.

MHS GENESIS will remain accessible throughout the update. You do not need to take any action. The system will automatically restore normal functionality after the update.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to enhance system security and functionality. If you encounter any issues, please contact the DHA Global Service Center at 800-600-9332.
