Effective immediately, Cranberry Cove/Maquan pond is open to the public for all water activities. There are no water safety concerns.

Due to a high bacterial count Cranberry Cove/Maquan Pond is closed until further notice for all water activities per the Board of Health.

The Transfer Station will be closed on Saturday, July 4, 2026 for the holiday. They will reopen on Sunday, July 5th.

New Transfer Station stickers are now available. They may be purchased online at https://www.hanson-ma.gov/home/pages/pay-bills-online
They are also available at the Board of Health office during normal business hours*. You must provide your vehicle registration and preferable a check payable to the Town of Hanson,

* Monday, June 29th & Tuesday, June 30th

Stickers will be available for in person purchase at the BOH office 9:00am - Noon and 2:00pm - 4:00pm ONLY

You may purchase online 24/7.
