Hanson Food Pantry Hanson Food Pantry is opened on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until noon and then from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. It is located at 228 High St. Hanson, Mass.

Our Mission Statement: The Mission of the Hanson Food Pantry is to serve those in need with kindness, respect, and confidentiality. Each person who comes to the Pantry hoping to receive food will receive one weeks' worth of groceries for their household, as well as referral information regarding other resources that they might find helpful. In order to do this well, we will strive to maintain an

adequate supply of safe and healthy foods to meet the level of demand. In addition we will provide nutritional information as well as healthy recipes using the foods we provide. The Hanson Food Pantry operates as a non-profit 501(c) (3) corporation and is an agency partner of the The Greater Boston Food Bank.

We are fortunate to have incredible community partners who help support the work we do, and today we'd like to recognize two of them.

First, we'd like to thank South Shore Vocational High School. Their students are generously donating their time and talents while gaining valuable hands-on experience. They are currently working at the pantry to construct accessibility and emergency ramps, helping ensure that everyone who needs our services can safely access the food pantry.

We'd also like to recognize the Whitman-Hanson Girl Scouts (pictured here is Grace), who continually find thoughtful ways to support our mission. Their most recent project, "Birthdays in a Bag," provided our clients with bags filled with cake mix, frosting, decorations, and other supplies needed to celebrate a special day. Each bag was assembled with care and plenty of love.

We are deeply grateful to both organizations for their commitment to making a difference in our community.

Together, we are building a stronger and more caring community.

We did it again!

Yesterday we held our monthly pop-up for the residents at Meeting House Lane, and it was another great success. We were able to provide a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with frozen meats, canned goods, and personal hygiene items. Residents were genuinely excited about the quality and variety of food available.

This would not be possible without the incredible generosity of our community. Every monetary and in-kind donation makes a direct impact, and we are so grateful for your continued support. Thank you!

The Hanson Food Pantry held another pop-up event for Meetinghouse Lane residents this past Saturday. Feedback from residents has been overwhelmingly positive. With rising food costs, many have shared how difficult it has become to afford groceries, and these pop-ups are helping to fill that gap.

We plan to continue offering these pop-ups periodically, with a focus on providing meat, fresh produce, hygiene items, and other essentials.

We are currently seeking donations of paper towels, toilet paper, protein shakes, adult diapers, shampoo, deodorant, soap, toothpaste, and shelf-stable proteins such as canned tuna, canned chicken, and canned beef stew. Non-monetary donations can be dropped off at the donation boxes located at Shaw’s, the Library, and the Post Office.

This program is made possible through the generosity of our donors. To contribute financially, please send a check payable to The Hanson Food Pantry to 228 High Street, Hanson, MA 02341, or donate via PayPal through our website.

At the Hanson Food Pantry, we’re fortunate to see so many unsung heroes. These are the people who quietly show up, work hard, and give back to their community without ever asking for recognition.

Recently, the South Shore Technical High School began building ADA-accessible ramps at the pantry and ran into challenges with the existing concrete steps. We reached out to A.E. Wood Corp for help, and they responded right away, generously donating their time and services so the project could move forward.

A.E. Wood Corp provides septic system design and installation, excavation, site preparation, and demolition services for homes and businesses throughout the South Shore, but what stood out most to us was their kindness and willingness to step in when it mattered.

AE Wood is one of our community’s unsung heroes and we are truly grateful for their support. Businesses like A.E. Wood Corp strengthen our community, and we hope you will keep them in mind the next time you need work done.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Hanson Democratic Town Committee for yet another successful food drive! This time they collected over 165 pounds of much needed food. We hosted two pop-ups today—one at the Hanson Food Pantry and another at Meetinghouse Lane! 💛 These events allowed us to connect directly with Hanson residents who need a little extra support right now.

None of this would be possible without the incredible generosity of our community both those who give financially and those who donate food. Your kindness makes a real difference. Thank you for helping us care for our neighbors! 🙌

We want to do a shout out to a couple of great kids Lilly and Liam and their mother Michelle Jones who came to our rescue today and shoveled our ramp and other access points. Thanks to you we will be able to accept deliveries and open back up on Tuesday. You are rock stars!!!🙌🏻
