Mr. Blanco Update ❤️
He is such a beautiful and sweet boy. He is doing just fine and has even made a new friend. We recently discovered a heart-shaped patch on top of his head that no one had ever noticed before because he wouldn't let anyone get close, and he was so dirty. Those days are gone now. He has finally found peace, safety, and love.
I am beyond happy for him.
I still remember the first day I saw him. I was a passenger in a car and immediately got out to try to get closer. It didn't take long to realize that earning his trust would be impossible then. My heart sank. I saw where he was living, with cars speeding by every day, and I feared he would be hurt like so many others who are not as fortunate.
Mr. Blanco has become the symbol of all the forgotten animals still out there who need help just as much as he did.
I knew I had to do something, so I contacted Jason Flatt. He responded immediately and never gave up until Mr. Blanco was safe. Many people lost faith along the way, but we never did. We kept hope alive, and now here we are.
Today, they call him Fred, but to me he will always be Mr. Blanco.
The truth is that anyone can become an angel for an animal in need. Our shelters are overflowing, and every day beautiful dogs like Mr. Blanco face the risk of euthanasia simply because there is no space left for them.
I hope his story helps people see and understand that these animals are here, and it is our responsibility to care for them. They depend on us in ways they cannot express, and sometimes all it takes is one person choosing not to look away.
"You can judge a man's true character by the way he treats his fellow animals."
