The Karuk Tribe Housing Authority (KTHA) is presenting the 2026 Safety Poster Contest. This contest is open to students in grades K-8. KTHA will select one 1st place entry from each category (K-3, 4-6, and 7-8) for submission to AMERIND for regional judging. Each AMERIND Region will then choose and submit one 1st place entry from each category for National judging.

The 1st-place National Winner in each category will receive a $1,000 cash prize and will be announced at the AMERIND Annual Meeting in September!

All entries are due to Nikkita Thompson by Friday, July 24, 2026, at 5:00 PM. 😊

Submit entries in person at the Happy Camp or Yreka KTHA offices or mail entries to PO Box 1159, Happy Camp, CA 96039.

No faxes or emails are allowed.

The Karuk Tribe Housing Authority is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 Student Rent Voucher Program!
This program provides rental assistance to income-eligible enrolled Karuk Tribal Members (regardless of location) and Karuk Descendants residing in Siskiyou or Humboldt County who are attending college or vocational school full-time.
Application Deadline: July 31, 2026
Students who miss the deadline may still qualify for partial school-year assistance, depending on eligibility and available funding.
