2026 Joe Hammer Memorial Co****le Tournament

Sunday, September 6th • Labor Day Weekend

Join us at Blue Ridge Fire Department Station 1 (5023 Enchanted Lane) for a day of co****le, good food, and supporting a great cause! 100% of proceeds go to the Joe Hammer Memorial Scholarship Fund for Fire & EMS training.

Registration starts at 12:00 PM • Limited to 16 teams • $40 per team

The Blue Ridge Fire District Auxiliary recently held their annual Appreciation Dinner. It was a wonderful evening recognizing the people who give so much of their time and energy to support our department and community. Retired and current members of both the Auxiliary and the Fire Department were present, making it a special night of connection and celebration.

Congratulations to Laurie Hawke, this year’s Member of the Year! Laurie’s dedication and hard work truly make a difference, and we are grateful for everything she does.

• Jennifer Chambliss – 5 Years of Service

This past week, our dedicated BRFD crew rolled up their sleeves and completed Adopt-A-Highway cleanup! From picking up litter and debris along the roadside to ensuring our stretch of highway stays safe and beautiful for everyone who travels through our community, our team showed up strong and proud.

We’re grateful to be part of the Adopt-A-Highway program and will continue showing up for our community both on and off the fireground.

This month, Blue Ridge Fire District members had the incredible opportunity to participate in hands-on pediatric emergency training right here at the station.

A huge THANK YOU to the amazing team at Phoenix Children’s Hospital for bringing their state-of-the-art Simbulance to Blue Ridge! The realistic simulation scenarios allowed our crew to sharpen critical skills in pediatric assessment, airway management, medication dosing, and emergency interventions — all while working under the pressure of real-world conditions.

Investing in this level of specialized training helps us deliver the highest standard of care to the children and families in our rural communities when every second counts.
We’re grateful for Phoenix Children’s Hospital — your support makes a real difference on the Rim!

This past Fourth of July Craft Fair was a fantastic success thanks to your enthusiastic support! We loved seeing so many of you come out to shop, visit with friends and neighbors, and enjoy the day with us. Your turnout and support help make events like this possible and strengthen our tight-knit community.

We also want to extend a special thank you to our community partners — the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office, Coconino National Forest, and Native Air 7 — for attending the event. Your participation made the day even more special for everyone!

Finally, a big shout-out to the Blue Ridge Fire Department Auxiliary for all their hard work organizing and running the craft fair. Your dedication, countless hours of planning, and ongoing support for the department do not go unnoticed. Thank you for everything you do!
