Why is the City Flushing Hydrants?

The City will begin flushing hydrants after the Labor Day Holiday as part of routine water-system maintenance to help keep our drinking water clean and maintain good water quality. Flushing helps remove stagnant water, loose sediment and deposits from water mains, while helping maintain proper disinfectant levels.

During flushing, you may notice temporary cloudy or discolored water. If you experience cloudy water, please run your cold water tap until the water runs clear. This should help clear any temporary disturbance caused by the flushing process.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work to maintain a clean, safe, and reliable water system for our community!

Our public restrooms are shared spaces for everyone in our community. We kindly ask that you help keep them clean, sanitary, and welcoming for the next person.

Please remember to:
• Dispose of trash properly
• Clean up after yourself
• Leave sinks and counters tidy
• Use restroom fixtures appropriately
• Report any issues or damage to staff

A little consideration goes a long way. Please treat our public restrooms with the same respect you would want others to show in your home or workplace.

Thank you for helping us keep our public spaces clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone! 💙
