Thank you to our donors for all of your support in helping ECD grow and expand conservation efforts in our community. American Beachgrass is available - contact Charlevoix CD if interested! If you’d like to go in on a bundle with others, you’re welcome to contact us too and we can see about getting you connected!

Beachgrass Available: After a successful harvest, we've had a few unique changes to our Fall Beachgrass that has left a few extra bundles available. This is not the norm to have "leftover" bundles available, as we typically aim to only harvest what has been pre-ordered. But, if any shoreline landowners or landscapers out there are looking for some beachgrass to plant, give us a call! ($100/bundle, 500 plugs per bundle) NOTE: the grass should be placed in the ground within a week of harvesting! Interested landowners, please call 231-582-6193 to inquire about availability (photo for visual aid only). Leave a Little Wild

A perfectly tidy garden isn't always the healthiest garden.

Leaving a small brush pile, a few hollow stems, or a quiet corner with leaf litter provides shelter for native bees, butterflies, fireflies, toads, and countless beneficial insects.

You don't have to let your whole yard grow wild. Even one intentionally "messy" corner can make a meaningful difference for wildlife.

Garden Tip:
Think of your garden as more than a landscape—it's habitat.
