On Memorial Day, we paused to remember and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

The Hardeeville Police Department, Hardeeville Fire Department and May River Fitness proudly came together to take part in a powerful tradition—the Murph Challenge—in memory of fallen Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy and in honor of all the brave men and women who gave their lives in service.

The Murph Challenge is a demanding workout that reflects the dedication and resilience of our military heroes. Participants completed:

1-mile run

100 pull-ups

200 push-ups

300 air squats

Another 1-mile run

While Americans across the country honored the day in their own way, this challenge united our community in remembrance and gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in honoring our heroes. We will never forget.

As the first law enforcement agency in South Carolina to utilize a Trikke Professional Mobility Vehicle, the Hardeeville Police Department continues to embrace innovative policing strategies that enhance both community engagement and public safety.

The Trikke allows our officers to efficiently patrol parks, trails, downtown areas, special events, and community gatherings while remaining highly visible and approachable. It provides greater mobility than traditional foot patrols, increases officer presence, and encourages positive interactions with residents and visitors.

This addition of the Trikee professional mobility vehicle  aligns with the department's commitment to community-oriented policing, officer efficiency, and modern public safety practices , while providing a cost-effective patrol option for a variety of assignments.

The administrative offices of the Hardeeville Police Department will be closed on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day.

Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

⚽️ HARDEEVILLE COMMUNITY — Let’s rally behind our Hurricanes!

The Hardeeville High School Varsity Boys Soccer Team is headed back to the State Championship and will compete for the title on Thursday, May 21, at 2:00 p.m. against Dixie High School at Memorial Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina.

The Hurricanes enter the championship match with an impressive 18-7 record and are currently riding an eight-game winning streak. Congratulations to seniors Fabian Ramirez and Efrain Tinoco Ceron, along with junior Jayden Cruz, on earning SCHSL Class A All-State Team honors!

Now, the team has its sights set on making school history by bringing home Hardeeville High School’s first-ever team state championship.
