So this weekend marks the official start of autumn. Remember that severe weather can still occur. This is also a good time to prep for winter weather. Check your snow blower, buy that new snow shovel, update your winter emergency car kit and make sure your car is ready for winter. Check out more preparedness info at Ready.gov

Map

Tuesday
Rain likely before 4pm, then rain likely, possibly mixed with snow between 4pm and 5pm, then rain likely, possibly mixed with snow and freezing rain after 5pm. Patchy fog after 1pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a temperature falling to around 33 by 5pm. North wind 13 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Tuesday Night
Rain, snow, and freezing rain likely before 3am, then a chance of drizzle, snow, and freezing drizzle between 3am and 5am, then a chance of snow after 5am. Patchy fog before 7pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 28. North wind 14 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible.

Wednesday
Snow likely, mainly after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 33. Northeast wind 11 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Wednesday Night
Snow before 11pm, then snow, possibly mixed with rain and freezing rain between 11pm and midnight, then a chance of drizzle, snow, and freezing drizzle after midnight. Low around 25. North wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Little or no ice accumulation expected. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Currently the data is showing Jersey and Greene County in the 3 to 4 band while Calhoun area will be in the 4 to 6 band.

The amounts could be adjusted into the 6 to 8 inch range..
