We are pleased to announce Hardwick Fire Department was awarded $12,456.92 through FY26 Firefighter Safety and Equipment Grant Program. These funds will be used to purchase updated safety equipment for our firefighter, as well as , new equipment to better serve the community.

12:00 - Striking the Second Alarm Assignment

12:03 - West Brookfield Rescue Squad, Ambulance-3 on scene reporting a 20×30 two car attached garage with heavy fire and smoke showing, extending to the 2-1/2 story residence.

12:10 - Command (Warren Car-1) striking the Third Alarm Assignment at this time. Multiple mutual aid responding to the scene. EMS treating (1) burn victim. DWH

12:18 - Command striking the 4th Alarm Assignment. Setting up tanker operations, at this time.

12:37 - 4th Alarm+ tankers from Brimfield, Holland and Wales requested to the scene.

13:19 - Command advising that the bulk of the fire is knocked down. Extensive overhaul. (3) LSO

After weeks of rigorous training, dedication, and teamwork, these firefighters have successfully completed the program and are ready to bring their skills back to serve the Hardwick community. The academy is known for its demanding curriculum that prepares firefighters for real-world emergency situations, and completing it is a major accomplishment.
