We wrapped up our summer reading program, "Unearth a Story," last week with an ice cream party and raffle drawing! Congratulations to raffle winners Louella, Bo, Ethel, Lucie, Maddison, Wyatt, Rowan, Michael, Ruby, Harper, Amelie, Micah, Kit, Remy, Nora, Milo, Tapanga, Kolbey, Alice, Zoey, Ronald, Kenzee, Kaiden, and Adrian! Thanks to Caja Madera and the Hardwick Kwik Stop for their gift certificate donations to the raffle. And congratulations to all who participated in the summer reading program!

Drop off your Champlain Valley Fair Read and Win forms by August 15 to get a ribbon for free entrance to the fair!

Today is the last day to turn in your summer reading Bingo sheets and enter our raffle! Raffle prizes winners will be announced before ice cream. If you are not able to make it today and have won a prize(s), we will notify you afterwards!

Maddie L. is our new Artist of the Month! Her beautiful drawings and paintings will be on display in the youth room for the rest of August. Thank you to youth volunteer Elfi for helping us put the display together!

Join your neighbors for an evening of stargazing high above Hardwick on the peak evening of the Perseid Meteor Shower! Arrive between 8 and 9 PM to check out the sky with local star enthusiasts and their telescopes.

At nine, we will broadcast Mark Breen’s Stargazing Party live! He will walk us through the night sky.

This event is co-sponsored by Hardwick Trails and the library. Street Treats VT will be on-site with ice cream to purchase! The event will be held at the Shepards’ place at 708 Bridgman Hill Road. The site is accessible; there is plenty of parking, including accessible spots, and restroom facilities will be available. Please bring your own lawn chairs or blanket to sit on, and flashlights or headlamps if you would like!
