Hardy, Arkansas is the heart of Spring River Country, known for its historic downtown, scenic beauty, artisans, and music. Code Ann. 26-75-605

The Hardy Advertising & Promotion Commission was created in 2001 by the City of Hardy pursuant to Ark. The Hardy Advertising & Promotion Commission (HAPC) was formed in 2001 with the implementation of the A & P tax passed in 2001 (1.875% of taxable receipts) on overnight lodging and prepared food. Ark.Code Ann 26-75-602 (C1, C2)

A&P funds shall be used:
( 1) for advertising and promoting the ci

ty and its environs
(2) for the construction, reconstruction, equipment, improvement, maintenance, repair, and operation of a convention center
3) for the operation of tourist promotion facilities in the city
( 4) for personnel and agencies necessary to conduct the business of the A & P commission

A&P funds can also be used for:
(1) for funding the arts
(2) for operation of tourist-oriented facilities
(3) for construction, reconstruction, repair, maintenance, improvement, equipping and operation of public recreation facilities and for the payment of bonds. Taxes shall NOT be used for:
(1) general capital improvements within the city
(2) costs associated with general operation of the city
(3) general subsidy of any civic group or chamber of commerce

The A & P Commission may contract with any group to provide actual services that are connected with tourism or conventions.

We have 2 nights of incredible free music coming at 7:00 p.m. in the AIR-CONDITIONED HARDY CIVIC CENTER on Saturday and Sunday.

Erin Walters and her one-of-a-kind voice take the CIVIC CENTER STAGE on Saturday at 7:00. We're not sure where that voice comes from, but we heard a rumor that her fairy godmothers were Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks.

Sunday at 7:00, it's Southern Skies, brings the CIVIC CENTER some of Spring River Country's local favorites, bringing good mix of Country, Blues, Classic Rock, a little of everything mixed in between.

Treasures in the Ozarks, Spring River Country's Premiere craft show, returns to the Hardy Civic Center Saturday, October 24, 9:00-4:00 and Sunday, October 25, 11:00-4:00.

Mark your calendars and get your Christmas-shopping money ready!

128 Boutique is a little bit of New Orleans on Hardy's Main Street, filled to the brim with top-quality vintage clothing and jewelry.

128 is the most comprehensive source of vintage bridalwear and formal finery around. They also have an eye-popping selection of vintage and designer costume jewelry.

It's as much of an experience as it is a shop!

Built in 1929 by Sam Young, the building has housed the Sam Young Grocery Store, Brad’s Café, Joan’s Café, a laundromat, the Hardy Auction House, Dub’s Wholesale, Grandma Hardy’s Craft Mall, and The Silver Dragon.

Friday at Words & Afterwords was a big music night with John T Parks and the Arkansas Dirt Boys, thanks to a collaboration with Mike & Stanis E. Vanous ART.

Here's a video with clips from four original songs to show you the range that John and the Dirt Boys brought and that a very appreciative audience got!

Spring River's Got Talent is coming to the Hardy Civic Center at 6:00 p.m. on September 12 for the region's premiere talent competition! Ticket link in the comments.
