Congratulations to the Rogers Eagles for being selected Army Strong Team of the Week in Class 2A.
Trailing 36-30 in the final minutes, Rogers running back Carson Skala scampered 64 yards for the go-ahead touchdown, and the Eagles defense held on for a hard-fought 37-36 win over 1A power Mart.
Each week, TexasFootball.com and the U.S. Army join together to select one team from every classification in high school football that demonstrates the qualities exhibited within the Army. Those include leadership, commitment to excellence and a desire to make a difference as a member of a team. Each team is awarded the Army Strong Team of the Week by local officials from the U.S. Army at a school assembly or pep rally.
