We had an AMAZING first day back at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Appalachia! We loved seeing so many familiar faces and welcoming new friends to our clubs.

We did have several friends who were ready to stay and enjoy the afternoon with us, but unfortunately, their MyClubHub application had not been completed and processed yet. We want to make sure everyone gets the opportunity to join us!

📌 Important MyClubHub Reminder:
An active membership list will be printed at 9:00 AM each morning. This list determines which members are able to attend the club that day.

For example, if you complete your child's application at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, your child will not be able to attend until Wednesday.
Please take a moment to make sure your child's MyClubHub information is submitted and complete so they can join us for all the fun!

We can't wait to see everyone at the club!

We're excited to launch MyClubHub, our new parent portal that makes it easier than ever to stay connected with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Appalachia!

With MyClubHub, parents can:
✅ Update their child's information anytime
✅ Register for Club programs quickly and easily
✅ Receive important Club updates by text and email

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Due to our new software system, EVERY child must have a NEW membership completed in MyClubHub before attending the Club. This applies to all members, even if your child attended last year. Previous memberships will not transfer into the new system.

Please follow the instructions on the flyer to create your parent portal account, complete your child's membership, and register for programs.

We appreciate your patience as we transition to this new system and look forward to another great year at the Club!

Our campers had an unforgettable time during The Great Harlan Cook-Off and Hidden Heroes Academy, packed with hands-on learning, new experiences, and plenty of fun!

A huge thank you to Redecker's for generously donating meals for our campers and staff and even creating a special menu just for us! Campers also put their entrepreneurial skills to the test by creating their own cupcake businesses before decorating delicious cupcakes.

We loved welcoming the Hazard Challenger Learning Center, where our younger campers got to control robots while our older campers built and coded their own projects.

We visited The Portal and enjoyed making our own pizzas from scratch.

One of our staff members' moms brought her chickens to visit, giving campers a fun and educational lesson about raising chickens and caring for them.

Nothing says summer like a visit from the snow cone truck, and our campers definitely enjoyed the cool treat!

We also had an amazing day exploring the zoo and seeing animals from around the world.

During Hidden Heroes Academy, we had the opportunity to meet some of our community's everyday heroes, including sheriff's deputies, Kentucky State Police officers, and firefighters. Thank you for taking the time to inspire our campers and teach them about the important work you do.

Every day was filled with learning, creativity, adventure, and memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you to everyone who helped make these weeks of summer camp so special for our Club kids!

Creativity was on full display last week at the Cawood Ledford Boys & Girls Club!

Our members stayed busy exploring their artistic talents through a variety of fun and engaging activities. We painted canvases, competed in a colorful sidewalk chalk contest, created tie-dye t-shirts, made sensory bottles, designed bookmarks, and crafted beautiful sun catchers.

Members also put their own spin on some famous works of art by recreating classic paintings and learning about the artists behind them.

A special thank you to SCORE for spending time with our members and helping them create even more exciting projects throughout the week. We appreciate your support and dedication to our youth!

Of course, no week would be complete without a little friendly competition! Members enjoyed an exciting Rock, Paper, Scissors battle filled with laughter, teamwork, and fun.

We love seeing our members learn new skills, express themselves creatively, and make lasting memories each day at the Club!

Our journey around the world has come to an end! 🌎

Last week at Cawood Ledford Boys & Girls Club, members packed their imaginary passports and "caught a flight" for Culture Week!

Our travelers visited China, France, Italy, the United States, Mexico, and Africa, learning how people around the globe live, celebrate, and share their cultures. Through hands-on activities, games, crafts, and discussions, members discovered both the unique differences and the many similarities that connect us all.

We had an amazing week expanding our horizons and learning that no matter where we come from, there is always something new to discover and appreciate about the world around us.

Last week, the Cawood Ledford Boys & Girls Club hosted a dance party for our members. They had a blast dancing and having fun with eachother to celebrate the end of the school year!

The Cawood Ledford Boys & Girls Club had an out-of-this-world experience last week as a planetarium came directly to the Club!

Members got to explore space, learn about planets and stars, and experience the night sky in an exciting and interactive way without ever leaving the Club. The visit sparked curiosity, imagination, and lots of excitement among our members!

We love bringing fun educational opportunities like this to our Clubs and giving our members experiences that inspire them to dream big and keep learning.

Creativity has been in full swing at the Cawood Ledford Boys & Girls Club!

Our members have been busy exploring their artistic side with a variety of fun projects, including Easter paintings, air-dry clay creations, custom magnets, and decorative door hangers.

It’s been wonderful to see their imagination come to life while they learn new skills and express themselves in unique ways. We’re so proud of all the hard work and creativity happening at the Club!
