I am a neutral with experience mediating hundreds of commercial, civil rights and other lawsuits in State and Federal courts in New York State. In my role as a mediator, I am a neutral, but admit to a strong bias in favor of mediation, because of its ability to resolve lawsuits and other conflicts with greater speed and lower cost than the alternative of litigation. On a net basis, plaintiffs recover more, and defendants pay less.

As a mediator, although I work as a neutral facilitator and not as an attorney or arbitrator, I graduated from Harvard Law School and bring to the mediation table four decades of litigation experience, evenly divided between a broad range of complex commercial litigation, as well as government litigation practice, including in the criminal justice and civil rights areas.
