Happy Memorial Day. Today we pause to say thank you to the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We are forever grateful to the fallen service members and to the families who carry their legacy forward. Because of your sacrifice, we are able to live in freedom and peace.

It was a wet year for the fair, but that didn’t stop the fun. Our members were staffed and helping with this event throughout the week. Thank you to the Harleysville Jaycees for putting together another fun Country Fair Days. Congratulations to our raffle winners and Thank you to those who stopped by and participated.

April recap:

Over the month of April, members at station 89 remained busy responding to calls and participating in trainings.

To start the month off, the water rescue team members had a joint training for a boat ops refresher in the Delaware River. Throughout the month training refreshers were Vehicle Rescue, hose line advancement, and recently, a live burn with our mutual aid companies.

Our annual banquet was hosted mid-April, as we took time to recognize the hard work of our members and award dedicated personnel.

Snow!❄️
With this weekend’s storm moving into the area a few reminders for our residents.

Keep your local fire hydrant clear of snow build up, this saves our members valuable time. Shovel out any home intake and exhaust pipes for your heaters and utility’s. Clear off your home adress numbers so we can easily find your house. Make sure if a generator is needed you take the appropriate steps of safe usage.
