🚨 MAJOR NEWS FOR MONTGOMERY COUNTY
Big investments. Safer communities. Stronger connections.
Today, alongside Senator Tracy Pennycuick, I’m proud to announce major state funding wins coming directly back to our district.
🌿 ACT 13 GREENWAYS, TRAILS & RECREATION FUNDING
Through the Commonwealth Financing Authority, we secured funding to expand trails, improve pedestrian safety, and better connect our neighborhoods.
• Lower Salford Township is receiving $216,784 for the Oak Drive Roadway and Pedestrian Improvement Project, creating a new shared-use path that expands the local trail network. This project will connect residents to existing bike and pedestrian facilities near the Village of Lederach and extend north to PA 113 and Landis Road, boosting both recreation and safe access to local destinations.
• New Hanover Township is receiving $100,000 for the Moyer Road Meadows and Trails Project, constructing more than 4,500 linear feet of multi-use trails, pedestrian bridges and fully ADA-compliant infrastructure. This trail system will link two growing neighborhoods and promote healthy, active lifestyles for residents of all ages.
These projects are about more than trails. They are about quality of life, open space and giving people safe options to walk, bike and connect without always relying on a car.
