Long Elementary Long Elementary is located in Harlingen, Texas. It was founded in 1985 and named after legendary Texan Jane W. Long.

Special shout out to 2nd grader Addix Hernandez for earning 2nd place at La Piedad International Cup this weekend!

His team went up against 16 teams from Corpus, Mission, Brownsville & Mexico. After several hard fought games, Addix and Team Velocity 2018 battled all the way to the Championship and brought home the silver! CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations to our amazing winners:

⭐ Primary Div. – 2nd Place: Jalyssa Deleon
⭐ Intermediate Div. – 1st Place: Leah Palomo
⭐ Intermediate Div. – 3rd Place: Jeremiah Shropshire

We are so proud of these talented students for their creativity, hard work, and dedication to promoting the importance of fire prevention and safety. Congratulations to all of our students who advanced to state competition!

We wish them the very best of luck in June as they represent Long Elementary and the Rio Grande Valley at the state level!
