A couple weeks ago, we shared the information for the upcoming Root River Trail Towns 65-Mile Garage Sale, and, well… apparently people are ready to shop.

That post has now been viewed more than 133,000 times and shared 118 times! 🤯

In other words: we're expecting a GREAT weekend for garage sales in Harmony on September 11 & 12.

So Harmony residents — if you've been thinking about having a sale, get your stuff together and get us your information! We currently have just SEVEN Harmony sales submitted for the Google map, and we'd love to see a whole lot more.

MSP Airport is taking a smarter, more connected approach to waste & recycling management! ✈️

Harmony’s modernized SmartPack Automatic Compactors are being deployed in pairs—one for trash and one for recycling—with custom vinyl wraps designed to complement the terminal environment.

Following the first installation in MSP’s D Pod, the rollout continues into the F Concourse this month, with more locations to follow. Integrated Insite™ technology provides valuable equipment data to help optimize collection schedules, staff time, and overall waste management.

We asked one of our wonderful volunteers, Cindy O., what her top three picks are for best reasons to come check out our Visitor Center! Her answers are below:

1) Giant squid te****le, found just one mile north of Harmony. It is short of the world record by just a few inches.

2) Harmony Area Historical Society videos of interviews with local people who live on Century Farms.

3) Framed photos of the 1917 and 1918 Fillmore County Draftees.
