Last night the Ambulance crew got to have a fun night out having a family picnic. It's always fun when we can get everyone together. The kids always have a blast.

We are so appreciative and thankful for all our volunteers do every single day, making sure that our ambulance is in service and ready to respond to an emergency 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

What a great turn out we had last night for National Night Out. So glad the rain decided to hold off. Thank you to everyone that came out and made it a good time. A very big thank you to all of the Harmony Fire Department and Harmony Ambulance Service volunteers that helped make this such a success.

Shout out to Luke Haugerud for his DJ and karaoke services, and to Fillmore County Sheriff's Office, Minnesota State Patrol, and Harmony Transit for coming out.

We can't wait to do it again next year!

Can't wait to see everyone tonight!

We had a very good informative meeting tonight with other rural ambulance services and the challenges we all face. It's so good to see the group collaboration and push for a positive change for the better in all of EMS, no matter the location.

JULY 29, 2026- ROCHESTER, MN

Strong ambulance services are built through collaboration, not competition. When ambulance directors work together, share resources, exchange ideas, and support one another, they strengthen not only their own organizations but the entire EMS system. No single service has all the answers where staffing, funding, and increasing call volumes continue to challenge providers and their services.

Breaking down "silos" creates opportunities to share best practices, training, equipment, and operational experience that ultimately improves patient care. By building relationships and working as regional partners, ambulance directors can advocate together, develop innovative solutions to common challenges, and ensure that every community benefits from a more resilient and sustainable EMS system.

Together, we accomplish far more than any one service can achieve alone; as a collective voice and collaborative region.

A special thank you to the Minnesota Ambulance Association and Andy Teska from Winona Area Ambulance Service for tonight's presentations.

Last night for our training, we had our Zoll rep come down and teach us all about our new Zoll AutoPulse NXT CPR device, which is replacing the Lucas CPR device. This is such a unique and advanced technology that we are so lucky to have in Harmony. Thank you to all our dedicated volunteers for always being willing to train and advance our skill sets for the Community.
