As our students begin their first full week of a new school year, Mayor Wayne Best and some of our Harriman alumni wanted to send a special message wishing them an amazing year ahead!

One of the best things about Harriman is the pride our community has in our schools and our students. The people in this video once walked the same halls, sat in the same classrooms, and proudly wore the blue and white — and now they’re cheering on the next generation of Blue Devils.

To our students: work hard, make memories, be kind, and know that your entire community is behind you.

As the new school year begins, our Splash Pad will transition to back-to-school operating hours starting Monday, August 10, 2026.

Another splash-filled summer comes to a close, the Harriman Parks & Recreation Department would like to sincerely thank everyone who visited, played, and made memories with us this season. Your support has helped make this another fantastic summer at the Splash Pad!

We hope you've enjoyed cooling off with family and friends, and we look forward to seeing you throughout the rest of the season before we close for the year.

Today we had the honor of welcoming 7 Brew to the City of Harriman with an official ribbon cutting! ☕✂️

We are excited to welcome a business that brings not only great drinks and friendly faces, but also a heart for giving back.

One of the things that makes 7 Brew so special is their commitment to the communities they serve. Through their “Caffeine for a Cause” fundraisers, they partner with local nonprofits and donate the proceeds to organizations making a difference right here at home. Across the country, these events have raised thousands of dollars for local charities and community organizations.

Here in Harriman, we’re especially excited that their efforts will benefit the Michael Dunn Center, helping support the incredible work they do for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our community.

⭐️Last night, we were honored to welcome Aiden Laxton from the Youth Leadership program to the Harriman City Council meeting.

It’s always encouraging to see young leaders taking an interest in local government and learning how decisions are made that impact our community. Investing in the next generation of leaders is so important, and we’re grateful Aiden chose to spend the evening with us.
