DATE officers are certified police officers with statewide jurisdiction and arrest powers, granting them full authority to enforce all laws of the State of Delaware — including liquor, drug, criminal, and traffic statutes. As part of its community outreach and education efforts, the Division utilizes its DUI/Distracted Driving Simulator to raise public awareness about the dangers of impaired and distracted driving involving alcohol, ma*****na, or other substances. The Delaware Division of Alcohol and To***co Enforcement (DATE) has arrested a Townsend woman following an investigation into alleged illegal ma*****na sales and cultivation operations in violation of Delaware law.

On May 13, DATE’s Ma*****na Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at Blackbird Creek Farm in Townsend, where officers seized approximately 60 pounds of ma*****na and 32 ma*****na plants.

The investigation determined the location was operating without licensing from the Office of the Ma*****na Commissioner.

DATE remains committed to protecting public safety and preserving the integrity of Delaware’s regulated ma*****na marketplace through proactive enforcement against unlicensed operations.
