For only the second time in Texas history, the sitting Speaker of the Texas House will address delegates at our State Convention.

Speaker Burrows is also stepping forward as a sponsor of the convention as well. That has never happened before.

Before Speaker Burrows held office, he was a delegate and a precinct chair.

He’s sat in those same seats, had those same conversations, and understands exactly what it means to show up and help shape the future of Texas.

We are grateful for his willingness to not only support this convention, but to be part of it in a way that respects and recognizes the delegates who make this party strong.

We look forward to welcoming Speaker Burrows to the 2026 Texas Republican Convention and to a historic moment for our party and our state.

Chairman Cindy Siegel has filed a formal complaint with the Texas Attorney General’s Office over Houston’s immigration ordinance.

She is calling on both the Texas Attorney General and the Department of Justice to open an investigation into this policy and its impact on public safety.

This ordinance puts law enforcement in an impossible position and creates unnecessary risk for our community.

Houston deserves leadership that stands with law enforcement—not policies that create confusion and increase risk.

Happy New Year friends!

So it’s not a legislative year, but it’s midterm elections and convention year! Woohoo!
Important dates below:

Today is the first day to apply for a ballot by mail if you need one.
February 2nd is the last day to register to vote.
First day of early voting for the primary is February 17th.
March 3rd is primary day.

Then we roll into the convention process.

Precinct conventions will be on Saturday, March 7th for Harris County.
Senate district conventions will be on Saturday, March 28th.
The Republican Party state convention will be in Houston, June 8-13th.

Saturday, May 2nd is Election Day for local non-county political subdivisions. This would be your water districts and special purpose districts.

Primary run off day is May 26th! There will be run offs. So don’t miss it!

Important general election dates!
Early voting is October 19-30th.
Election Day is Nov 3rd!!!
