Food For His Children

Food For His Children Rescuing Tanzanian children from extreme poverty so they can become all God created them to be.

Since 2008, Food for His Children (FFHC) has provided Christ centered community development and humanitarian services to families and communities in rural Karatu, Tanzania, targeting those with income below $1 per day. Our vision is to eradicate extreme poverty so that children and families have food to eat, medical care, education and the ability to work towards their dreams and that families and

communities can become all God created them to be. We desire to see families and communities able to sustain themselves without relying on outside resources. We do this by providing a micro loan of a dairy goat, pastoral care, faith-based training in entrepreneurship, animal husbandry, agriculture, health, environment, leadership, and savings; one on one case management and coaching, goal planning, and veterinary care services. Food for His Children works in over 40 sub villages in Karatu District serving almost 400 families. Through this ministry, individuals and entire communities are transformed.

This little one and her goat have something very important in common.
They both need a safe place to call home.

In Karatu, Tanzania, a healthy dairy goat is more than a pet. She is a lifeline. A single healthy dairy goat can produce up to 2 liters of fresh milk every day, nourishing children, supplementing family meals, and generating income at the local market. Her kids grow the herd. Her herd grows a future.

But here is something most people don't know. A goat that sleeps outside, exposed to the elements and predators, is a vulnerable goat. Illness, injury, and stress all reduce milk production and put the family's investment at risk. That is why one of the 17 Points of a Healthy Home that every FFHC family works toward is building a proper house for their animals. A well-built goat shed is not a luxury. It is the foundation that makes everything else possible.

Food For His Children families build their own sheds using local materials, with their own hands. If you feel called to help put a healthy goat inside one, we would love to tell you how. Visit foodforhischildren.org

Today is World Hunger Day. And we refuse to just talk about the problem.

Hunger is not solved by aid alone. It is solved by equipping communities with the tools, training, and land to grow food, build futures, and feed families for generations.

That is exactly what we are building in Karatu, Tanzania with your help.

Our Farm and Innovation Center is a living, growing answer to hunger, where we train the next generation of farmers to feed their communities for decades to come. We teach vertical farming techniques that maximize every inch of space. We help farmers discover innovative growing techniques that use recycled materials. We give guidance on how goat farmers can raise healthy, productive herds that provide rich milk and fertilizer for crops. Families and communities come together and learn to grow, harvest, and thrive on their own terms.

This is not charity. This is transformation.

World Hunger Day is a reminder that the need is real. But so is the solution. And with your support, we are building it one family, one farm, one harvest at a time.

Today we pause to honor the men and women who gave everything in service to others.

Their sacrifice reminds us that the most meaningful things in life are worth fighting for. Freedom. Family. Dignity. A future worth building.

At Food for His Children, we are humbled by that spirit every day as we walk alongside families in Tanzania who are building something lasting for the next generation.

To every family who has lost someone in service, we honor you today.

Meet Emiliana. Strong, courageous, and back in school where she belongs.

Emiliana comes from a family that knows hardship. Her mother raised her children with fierce love and determination. But every month, something as simple as sanitary pads stood between Emiliana and her education.

Loveness Joshua, one of our field officers, saw Emiliana's situation and made sure she had reusable sanitary pads. Something so simple. Something that changed everything.

Her school performance has improved and she has not missed a single day since.

For just $10 you can give a girl like Emiliana reusable sanitary pads that will last for years.

In Karatu, Tanzania, a family's dream is taking shape one brick at a time.

Beatrice and her family are building a home. A place where every member of her family will have a safe, dignified space to rest, grow, and dream. Right now a mason is hard at work, and with each passing day the walls rise a little higher.

This is what goal planning looks like at Food for His Children. We do not just walk alongside families in words. We sit down together, dream together, and then work together toward something lasting.

Beatrice's home is still under construction, but the transformation has already begun.

"Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain." Psalm 127:1

Watch Beatrice's story above and share it with someone who believes every family deserves a strong, solid place to call home. ๐Ÿก

To every mama in Karatu and every Mom reading this today, Happy Mother's Day!

Motherhood is the same the world over. The love, the sacrifice, the quiet faithfulness of showing up for your children day after day.

Today we celebrate the Mothers who make the world go round.

"As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you." Isaiah 66:13

Some people believe in a cause so deeply they do something about it.

Albert Boki is one of those people. A former member of the Food for His Children family, Albert recently donated 23 boxes of reusable sanitary pads to help keep girls in school in Karatu, Tanzania. His words say it better than we ever could:

"I believe strongly in protecting and nurturing the future of the young African girls and their talents. It is my responsibility to help ensure they never miss a class. My message to them is: walk with confidence, take pride in who you are, and never stop believing in your dreams."

Albert, we are so grateful for your generous heart and your continued commitment to the girls of Karatu. Once part of our family, always part of our family.

If Albert's generosity inspires you, join him. Every $10 provides one girl with reusable pads that will keep her in school month after month.

"One person gives freely, yet gains even more." Proverbs 11:24
