JOB OPENING:
Economic Development Coordinator / Regional Planner
The Southeastern Illinois Regional Planning and Development Commission (SIRP&DC) is
seeking a qualified and motivated individual to serve as an Economic Development Coordinator
or Regional Planner. This position works as part of a professional team and reports directly to the Executive Director to support local governments throughout SIRP&DC’s five-county rural. service area.
Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree in political science, planning, community
development, finance, public administration, business administration, or a related field is
required. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with local leaders and community partners and
will demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
Experience with commercial loan review, documentation, and processing is preferred, and knowledge of QuickBooks or familiarity with state and federal grant and loan programs is a plus. Candidates who are eager to learn and grow in these areas are encouraged to apply, even if they do not meet every preferred qualification.
Salary will be based on qualifications and the SIRP&DC salary scale. Interested applicants
