WHTM) – Several Democrats have announced or are planning to get in the 2024 race for Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District.

The seat is currently held by Republican Scott Perry, who has served in Congress since 2013 after winning the 2012 election with 59.7% of the vote. Perry overwhelmingly won the 2014 election with 74.5% and the 2016 race with 66.1%, but in his last three he’s received strong challenges.

To my community,

This entire process has been very overwhelming. I’m filled with gratitude.

I hope we see how powerful we can be when we are united and working towards a common goal with the greater good in mind.

As we celebrate this momentous victory in this battle, we mustn’t keep our eyes off the war.

November will be here before we know it, and chances are, we’ll be overcoming many more obstacles along the way.

Your support means the world to me.
Please consider supporting the campaign as I continue this fight for our community and our city at large.

A Harrisburg City Council candidate who has made his troubled past a centerpiece of his work is now facing a legal effort to have him kicked off the November ballot, ostensibly because of that history.

Long-time Harrisburg politicos believe the effort to remove Lamont Jones has less to do with legal intricacies of his eligibility and more to do with machine politics.

Party chair Rogette Harris reiterated their endorsement of Lamont Jones, and said “a policy change is needed" with regard to candidates' criminal histories.

The Dauphin County Democratic Committee endorsed Lamont Jones for Harrisburg City Council yet two of its members filed a lawsuit to have him removed from the ballot in November. Why? Because he has a drug conviction from 30 years ago! We can not and should not allow individuals to use the courts to nullify our votes! If you aren’t outraged by this abuse of power, then you too are part of the problem! For those who demand their votes be counted and he remain on the ballot, join us on Sunday at 3pm at the Nativity school!!
