📚✨ Last Wednesday, May 27th, PHRC Executive Director Chad Dion Lassiter, MSW, attended a powerful conversation featuring Dr. Eddie S. Glaude, Jr. and U.S. Senator Cory Booker as part of the Free Library of Philadelphia’s Author Event Series. The event was held at the Parkway Central Library.

Dr. Glaude, James S. McDonnell Distinguished University Professor at Princeton University, discussed his newest book, America, U.S.A., offering deep reflections on American history, race, and national identity.

💫 June is National Immigrant Heritage Month!
This month, we celebrate the diversity, resilience, and contributions of immigrants who strengthen communities across Pennsylvania and the nation. The observance highlights the cultural, economic, and social impact of the roughly 46 million foreign‑born people living in the U.S.—and the generations who came before them.

At PHRC, we honor the stories of those who came seeking opportunity, safety, and freedom, and we reaffirm our commitment to protecting the rights and dignity of every person.

🏛️ America’s strength lies in its diversity—let’s uplift immigrant voices, preserve heritage, and stand united for justice and inclusion.
