PSERS hosted four interns in our Investment Office this summer (Adai Carrasquillo, Jeffrey Wang, Quang Huynh, and Connor Niemczyk)! 🎉

Our interns spent the summer learning how an $85 billion pension fund that serves over 500,000 members invests and operates on a day-to-day basis.

A couple of highlights from the summer include a Manager Due Diligence visit to LLR Equity Partners in Philadelphia, PA and their meeting with the Hershey Trust team in Hershey, PA.

Attention PSERS members who retired on or before July 1, 2001! 🚨

Eligible PSERS retirees’ September monthly benefit payment will include the new cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) adjusted monthly benefit amount plus the retroactive COLA funds for July and August consistent with legislation approved by Gov. Josh Shapiro and the General Assembly as part of the Commonwealth’s 2026-27 budget package.

More than 31,200 PSERS retirees will collectively receive an additional $104 million in estimated COLA payments in fiscal year 2026-27.
