Members of Governor Tom Wolf's administration gathered today at the YWCA Greater Harrisburg to raise awareness about veteran su***de, a health crisis taking the lives of about 20 veterans a day nationwide. The event was held in recognition of September being National Su***de Prevention Month.

“It is important that we all continue to have discussions about su***de and let our loved ones in crisis know that there is hope,” said Dr. Daniel L. Jurman, DMin, executive director of the Governor’s Office of Advocacy & Reform.

If someone you know is thinking about su***de, take the next step and #BeThe1To be there. Listen to their reasons for feeling hopeless and in pain. Listen without judgment and with compassion and empathy. #BeThere #SPM21

One Lens: Sharing Our Common Views is a statewide collaborative visual and storytelling project.

Across the exhibit’s three themes – our lives, our heroes and our communities – we see life in the commonwealth from March 2020 through March 2021: the hard realities and the hope for better days, the triumphs and the heartbreaks, the new beginnings and the loss.

Here are those stories; here is our story.

Hi All - If you're a PA resident, please consider signing this petition I've created. I know it's a long shot, but creating this is better than doing nothing. For those of you who don't live in Montgomery County, we have a commissioner that has likened Black Lives Matter to a hate group and called its members and supporters "enemy combatants" and "domestic terrorists." There is already a petition calling for his resignation with over 80,000 signatures, but he has stated he has no intention of resigning and quite frankly, he's eating up the attention. The petition I've created is for PA to enact a recall law to get Joe Gale out. PA is one of three states that does not allow for the removal of local government officials before the next election unless they resign.
