We will share stories of resiliency and hope amidst the pandemic and discuss ways of strengthening our mission in the coming year—and how you, your church or your work place can be involved. We also will engage in discussion about future mission and take care of some annual business.

The Gateway Health COVID-19 Vaccine Strategy team has been busy collaborating with some of our most highly engaged providers to support the state’s rollout efforts for the vaccine. With all PA residents being eligible to receive the vaccine as of April 19. Gateway will be opening up appointments for Friday April 30th on-site vaccination event at the Harrisburg Connection Center. We have partnered with Rite-Aid to administer the shots and it is the Pfizer vaccine. Please share with friends and family if interested.

We just received word we will receive another 300 COVID Vaccines to share through out the community on April 28th. Anyone interested in receiving the vaccine should contact Beacon Clinic to schedule an appointment at 717-775-1111.

Thank you for helping us spread the word to those who need help. P.S. We still have "Vaxx Taxi Tickets" available to anyone who needs transportation to any location to receive a vaccine, these are widely available to the community.

Christian Churches United Men’s and Women’s Winter Overnight Shelters are opening early on Sunday, January 31 and Monday, February 1 due to snow storm.

The MEN’S shelter is hosted by Gospel Fellowship Church located at 1635 N. 7th Street, Harrisburg. Doors open for the men at 2:30pm today (Sunday, Jan. 31) and close tomorrow (Monday, Feb. 1) at 7:00am and will re-open at 1:00pm tomorrow (Monday) and close at 7:00am Tuesday morning.

The WOMEN'S shelter is hosted by Grace United Methodist Church located at 216 State Street. Doors open for the women at 3:00pm today (Sunday, Jan. 31) closing at 7:00am tomorrow (Monday, Feb. 1) and re-open at 3:00pm tomorrow (Monday) and close at 7:00am Tuesday morning.

The normal hours for both shelters is 7:30pm to 7:00am. Opening early will allow for the men and women to get out of the elements and be safe and warm.

24/7 Dad is an evidence-based fatherhood program that equips fathers with the self-awareness, compassion, and sense of responsibility which is imperative to good parenting.

o The Community Based subcommittee works with many different Agencies and organizations to bring services and resources to families and to aid in child welfare crisis. o The Cultural Competent committee attempts to keep the volunteer programs of the other committees culturally applicable and to provide education and training to those engaging in the volunteer programs. o The Faith-Based committee mobilizes the many faith-based organizations of the county to aid in many different programs and to provide support for children and families. o The Parents Advisory committee experienced parents, caretakers and foster parents provide their expertise in training and support to struggling parents. o The Youth committee is made up of volunteers and at-risk youth who want to act as a voice for youth by youth. They take part in different programs and some national youth conferences.
