With the increasing prevalence of e-bikes and scooters, the PA DUI Association would like to remind everyone it is against the law to operate a bicycle, e-bike, motorized pedalcycle, motor scooter, electric personal assistive mobility device (EPAMD), or an electric scooter while impaired. If you choose to do so, you run the risk of being arrested for DUI. Additionally, you must be 16 years old to operate an e-bike in Pennsylvania (PA Title 75, section 3514) and it must have operable pedals, otherwise it’s illegal to be operated in Pennsylvania, regardless of age.
