Yesterday I joined Center for Employment Opportunities - CEO for their “how to tie a tie” workshop. It was a powerful reminder that small skills can open big doors.

Supporting reentrants as they rebuild their lives matters. I was incredibly impressed by the leadership and the way every person was treated with dignity and value.

Watching staff encourage, uplift, and pour into each individual while teaching something as simple as tying a tie was something special.

Hope you can join for our upcoming prison board town hall meeting.

I attended a press conference yesterday for a Dauphin County family whose loved one has been detained by ICE for more than 5 months. Please consider supporting them as they work to have their husband and father, Omar, returned home to them.

ICE has explored proposals to bring so-called “cornerstone” facilities to Dauphin County. As a commissioner, I’ve sat with families and witnessed the real consequences of failing to uphold due process, human dignity, and civil rights. This is not something Dauphin County needs.
