Susquehanna Township EMS just raised its base pay scale last week for EMTs from $12.50 to $15 an hour.
I’ve reported for years on how payment from insurance providers hasn’t gone up in a long time, but some ambulance companies are now looking more closely at their finances to be able to raise wages.
Tonight the members of Progress as well as Rescue Fire Company #37, Susquehanna Township EMS, and Susquehanna Township Police were requested to assist at the Susquehanna Township High School to send the Class Of 2020 out with “Bang”.
Hoffman Ford and our friends at Chick-fil-A Lindle Road were honored to continue our weekly mission of supporting and thanking our local first responders and health care providers during these challenging times!
Today we were able to thank and recognize some of our nurses and doctors from UPMC Pinnacle as well as our first responders from our neighboring townships, Susquehanna Township – Dauphin County, PA & West Hanover Township Administration with a complimentary lunch from Chick-fil-A. Around the country, first responders are preparing for the coronavirus.
They are concerned about a looming shortage of masks. And if cases surge, it may be hard for ambulance companies to get other necessary supplies, says Susquehanna Township EMS Director Matt Baily.
“We’re hoping we don’t need anything, but we’re planning as though we’re definitely going to need all of it,” he says.
Join us at Central Penn College on Tues., Oct. 15 for a special #OpioidCrisis Town Hall with Pinnacle's Regional Director of Strategic Partnerships Jason Snyder.
