Sharing Stories of Hope 🎵

We were grateful to welcome the choir from New Life For Girls - Dover, PA to the Men's Mission Chapel yesterday.

Their worship music and powerful testimonies of transformed lives were an encouragement to our guests and a beautiful reminder that hope is possible.

We're currently collecting personal care products and clothing essentials for the men staying at Bethesda Mission.

Current needs:

• White crew-neck T-shirts (all sizes)

Every food bag packed at Bethesda Mission's Food Bank represents more than groceries. It represents neighbors serving neighbors and hope shared throughout our community.

For nearly 20 years, volunteers from Calvary Methodist Church of Dillsburg have faithfully served alongside Bethesda Mission, packing bags that help put meals on the table for individuals and families throughout Central Pennsylvania. What may seem like a simple act of service has a lasting impact on our community.

Today we'd like to recognize an incredible volunteer, Ron Ramsey, and express our heartfelt gratitude for his faithful service to Bethesda Mission's Women's Mission.

For more than three years, Ron has been a dependable part of our weekly routine. He faithfully drove our cargo van to pick up essential supplies from our Food Bank located in Mission Central and the generous donations from Outback Steakhouse in Camp Hill to our Women's Mission.

Ron's acts of service may have been behind the scenes but their impact was felt day. His dedication saved our staff countless hours allowing us to focus more of our time and energy on serving the women in our care.

Ron has been so much more than a volunteer, he has been a blessing to our Women's Mission family. We are incredibly grateful for his kindness, faithfulness, and willingness to serve wherever he was needed. His cheerful spirit and dependable presence have made a lasting impact, and he will be deeply missed.

Ron, thank you for the love, compassion, and servant's heart you've shared with us over the past several years. We pray God's richest blessings over this next chapter of your life and are so thankful for the difference you've made in the lives of so many.

Bethesda in the Community

Recently, George Chochos, Executive Director of Bethesda Mission, and Kenny Robinson, Community Engagement Coordinator, had the opportunity to visit Harrisburg First Assembly of God and share how Bethesda Mission is inspiring hope throughout the Harrisburg area.

We're grateful for churches that partner with us through prayer, generosity, and a shared commitment to serving our neighbors. Together, we're making a difference in the lives of men, women, and children in our community.

It started with a visit to see family but by this summer, it has become a calling.

Jackson, a senior at Southeastern University studying marketing, is spending his summer interning at Bethesda Mission's Men's Mission.

What he expected to be a season of meeting practical needs has turned into something much deeper — lessons in relationship, leadership, and what it really means to care for the whole person.

A Thoughtful Gift for Our Youngest Residents

A big thank you to Sarah Hackenberg of Grace In Cycles LLC for thinking of the children at Bethesda Mission's Women's Mission.

After helping a client downsize and organize a child's toy room, Sarah reached out to see if the toys could be put to good use. The answer was a resounding yes!

Thanks to Sarah's generosity, Bev Treat, Director of the Women's Mission, will use the donated toys to reimagine the playroom for the children who are living at the Mission with their moms. We know these toys will bring hours of fun, imagination, and smiles.

Thank you, Sarah, for helping create a welcoming space where children can simply enjoy being kids.

Investing in Hope, Together

Bethesda Mission is grateful to Gunn Mowery Insurance for presenting a $7,000 Legacy of Caring Grant, funded by the Westfield Insurance Company.

Through this grant program, the Westfield Insurance supports nonprofits that help individuals and families find stability during times of hardship.

This generous investment will help Bethesda Mission continue providing shelter, recovery programs, compassionate care, and the hope of Jesus Christ to men, women, and children throughout our community.

A special thank you to Gerry Wevodau and Jill Nye of Gunn Mowery Insurance for their partnership and for helping make this grant possible.

Together, Gunn Mowery Insurance and the Westfield Insurance Company are helping bring hope to men, women, and children throughout our community.

The Grill Was Hot! 🌭☀️

Our Administrative Team had a great time grilling lunch for the guests and staff at Bethesda Mission's Men's Mission.

Good food, lots of smiles, and time spent together made for a wonderful afternoon. We love opportunities like this to serve and enjoy one another.
