Kevin Thomas, Bobbie Gaiski Van Buskirk, Emily Schriver Trang, and Ruth Shiffler represented the Harrisburg club at the 109th annual PA District Convention in Gettysburg.

Many valuable breakout sessions were presented, covering the importance of literacy, mental health, and safety of the children in our communities.

We enjoyed a relaxing and scenic tour on the Gettysburg Railway, meeting new friends along the way!

We spent a couple of hours making “Smile Kits” at Caitlin's Smiles! These are distributed to over 200 hospitals in the Mid Atlantic region to bring smiles to the faces of young patients. It’s always a pleasure supporting Cheryl and her team!

During our August meeting, we welcomed Denise Hirn and Michelle Stine from the Nativity School of Harrisburg. Established in 2001, they have built a comprehensive program that serves middle school-aged boys that live within the Harrisburg School District.

We are collecting school supplies for the Salvation Army!

A new school year is right around the corner, and together we can help local students walk into the classroom feeling confident and prepared!
We're collecting new school supplies to support 400 children in our community. Each child will receive a backpack filled with school supplies, along with a voucher for a new pair of shoes and a new outfit to help them start the year off strong.

It’s always a pleasure to help The Salvation Army Harrisburg Capital City Region serve our community! Last week, members staffed the food pantry, helping clients shop for groceries, as well as restocking the pantry from the warehouse.
