We spent two great days in Effingham, IL for the 2026 Statewide Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC) Meeting! We love learning about all the recovery efforts happening across the state, but we especially love spending time with all the ROSC teams from Southern Illinois! Now we’re on our way to Springfield for the ICB Conference! 💜

Thank you so much to the White County Public Defender Office for sponsoring our Free Laundry Day Event at Angie’s Wash & Fold! We are so lucky to have such a great Office of Public Defender. They spent all afternoon and evening helping people wash and dry their clothes. And a huge thanks to Angie, who is always so kind and helpful! We helped 63 families, washed and dried 250 loads of laundry, distributed lots of recovery info, and talked to every single person who came in. We 💜 you White County. See you next month!

Our next Free Laundry Day event at Angie’s Wash & Fold in Carmi will be on October 13th from 2-6pm! We'll be joined by the White County Public Defender's Office. 💜

You can wash and dry up to 3 loads of laundry for free. As always, we'll have recovery resource and overdose prevention information available.

It’s the final day of Recovery Month 2026! We held and attended so many great events this month, talked to so many people, heard dozens of beautiful recovery stories, traveled all over the region, and recovered out loud every where we went. Recovery looks good at our agency. 💜

Come out on Tuesday, September 22nd from 2-6pm for our Free Laundry Day Event in City of McLeansboro.

You can wash and dry up to three loads of laundry for free. We'll provide the laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Resources and recovery information will be available! 💜

Please join us for the 5th Annual Southern Illinois Recovery Network - SIRN Walk for Recovery on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 2:00pm at the White County Fairgrounds in Carmi, Illinois. Each year, SIRN hosts the walk in a different community--come walk for recovery in White County this year!

The Walk for Recovery is an opportunity to celebrate recovery, remember those we have lost to substance use, raise awareness, and show the entire region that recovery is possible.

The event will include a community walk, free food, giveaways, overdose education, stories of recovery, fun for kids, and a resource fair!

The SIRN Walk for Recovery is meant to bring together the entire recovery community in Southern Illinois. 💜

GET READY! It's time for Glow for Recovery, this weekend: Saturday, September 12th in Harrisburg! Each year is bigger, better, and more impactful than the last. They'll have local resources, incredible speakers, music, and free food! It'll be a great night for recovery. We hope to see you there.

Every year, Substance Use Counselor, Stacey Miller, kicks off Recovery Month by dying her hair purple. Stacey has helped countless people find recovery over the years, and she always goes out of her way to support the recovery community. We decided we should join her in the tradition. We all want to be more like Stacey. 💜
