It’s been a busy week including tours of the State and House Archives and PA Judicial Center. The importance of storing records and value of knowing where we’ve come from helps us know where we’re going and can maybe even save us from past mistakes.

Today was filled with great information on communications strategy both inside and outside of the building. Communications Directors Mike Straub and Bob Caton, along with press secretary to the Speaker Nicole Reigelman shared insight on how their teams support legislative communications and messaging.

Then Laura Kuller and Greg Mahon of Pursuit Advocacy —. Harrisburg-based lobbying firm— shared how they strategize to maximize legislative accomplishments for their clients.

The overarching theme: there’s a lot more common ground and bipartisan work accomplished than is often featured in the news cycle and there’s a lot of great work that goes into making Pennsylvania a better place for all.
