2022 PA Fishing Licenses go on sale today at www.HuntFish.pa.gov. In my house, Voluntary Youth Fishing Licenses ($2.97) always make a great stocking stuffer for the kids and help the PFBC fund youth programs. New this year, only 10,000 limited-edition collectible fishing license buttons will be produced. Customers will receive a button numbered 00001-10000.

Whether you’re looking to get a jump on next season, or you’ve got holiday gift giving in mind, 2022 Pennsylvania Fishing Licenses, permits, and vouchers are on sale now!

Beginning December 1, 2021, fishing licenses, permits, and vouchers for the 2022 season can be purchased through the HuntFishPA online portal (www.huntfish.pa.gov) on the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission (PFBC) website, on your smartphone using the FishBoatPA mobile app, or by visiting one of nearly 700 retail license issuing agents. 2022 licenses, permits, a unique collectible license button, and vouchers purchased now are valid immediately for up to 13 months, from December 1, 2021 through December 31, 2022.

2021 Pennsylvania Fishing Licenses go on sale today! Get a jump on next season, or purchase a voucher as a gift for someone else.

Any 2021 licenses purchased now are valid immediately for up to 13 months -- from today through Dec. 31, 2021, according to the PFBC.

Information that was provided to WTAJ-TV, but was not mentioned in this article regarding Lakemont Park:

1.) The PFBC issues permits to owners of private lakes who wish to drain the lakes for maintenance. Permits are reviewed by both the PFBC and PA DEP.
2.) Permit recipients are provided with with a standard list of conditions that requires the property owner to remove or dispose of fish properly. It is the very first condition on the list.
3.) Removal or salvage of live fish is an option if another private water owner allows for the fish to be moved to their property. It was mentioned that the PFBC does not allow fish to be transferred from private property to public waters, but did not mention that is to prevent the introduction of invasive species, nuisance species, and disease.
4.) It is also important to note that this lake is not open to public fishing.
