The Gather the Guitars team would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to support Gather the Spirit at this year’s event on February 8, 2026, held at the Abbey Bar at Appalachian Brewing Company.
We were honored to enjoy performances by Megan Miller, Matt Jameson, Vince Rollins, and special guest Deanna Grahl Witzel, whose talent helped make the event truly memorable.
Events like this are only possible because of a caring community. Thank you for helping us continue the work of Gather the Spirit.

Toiletries Wish List

The weather is finally getting warmer. But the needs of our low income and homeless community are still very real. Just “different” than our winter wish list. We are running about 120+ folks in the few hours we are open on Saturday.

Instead of heavy-duty gloves and hats, our neighbors are looking for items that can keep them dry in the rain - ponchos, light rain jackets, umbrellas, basically any rain gear. That extends to “cleaning up” after winter. We could really use shampoo, dish soap, bars of soap, body wash, deodorant, any cleaning sprays, and hand sanitizers.

Finally, we could use large tubes of toothpaste. I have plenty of toothbrushes (except children’s size), but want to pair them with toothpaste! Children’s shampoo, body wash, and toothbrushes are also needed.
