Woohoo! Our restroom on the first floor was fixed today which will allow us to comfortably open Harris Tower Museum for visitors this Saturday (6/6/2026).

Admission is by donation, and yes our Tower is climate controlled.

Well, best of plans but a near 100-year old building dictates our opening sometimes. Due to a plumbing issue, we're going to delay our opening for the season to Saturday, June 6th.

Keep an eye for other updates.

Welcome to Harris! The Chapter, by way of the late Bill Seigford's family, donated his cherished roll top agent's desk. Bill worked for the PRR, PC and Conrail just before retirement in the late 1990s. His grandfather and father were ex-PRR men, too.

His daughter relays that this desk likely came from the ex-RDG freight house in Lititz, where they were living at the time. Bill was a customer sales rep for Conrail including the ex-RDG Reading & Columbia branch customers out of Lititz. That desk traveled where Bill did, including to Tulsa, OK in the early 1990's ;-)

Bill was a railroader, true with many connections that greatly benefited the Chapter financially.

While Bill passed away many years ago, his legacy will be remembered by this piece of railroading history. We thank his family for trusting us with this item. When yer at Harris next, ask to see "Bill's desk".
