✨ Celebrating 70 Years of the Pennsylvania Relief Sale ✨
What began on a farm in 1957 with a simple conviction — that something should be done to meet relief needs — has grown into a cherished Pennsylvania tradition.
From that first sale, which raised more than double its $2,000 goal, to today’s two‑day event drawing thousands of visitors, the PA Relief Sale has always been about neighbors coming together to create hope. Handmade quilts sparked spirited bidding early on and remain the heart of the sale today, celebrating the skill, beauty, and generosity of countless volunteers.
Over the decades, the Sale has grown to include auctions, homemade food, children’s involvement through My Coins Count, banquets, heifer sales, concerts, and many creative fundraising efforts — all supporting Mennonite Central Committee - MCC’s work to respond to basic human needs and build peace around the world.
For 70 years, one thing has never changed:
💙 A commitment to community
💙 A spirit of generosity
💙 A belief that together, we can make a difference
Thank you to every volunteer, donor, bidder, quilter, cook, and supporter who has been part of this journey. We celebrate the past with gratitude and look to the future with hope.
Here’s to 70 years of celebrating community and creating hope. Join us this weekend for the 2026 Pennsylvania Relief Sale, April 17-18 at the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg.
