Meet Andreia Silva de Rocha, a newly funded Alzheimer’s Association researcher. She is from Brazil and is working at the University of Pittsburgh with the Pascoal Lab. This is her 4th time at AAIC. Hear her reaction to receiving grant funding and the impact it could have on her research.

Wildfire smoke 🔥, motor vehicles 🚗 and factories 🏭 all emit a type of air pollution called fine particulate matter. A study shared at #AAIC24 suggests the risk of dementia diagnosis due to exposure to wildfire smoke was notably stronger — even with less exposure — than the risk due to the other sources of this type of air pollution.
