Our final days of training were extremely productive. We participated in 3 Memorial Day Color Guard Details at various Yacht Clubs. All of which provided lunch or breakfast for the cadets. ❤️ While aboard the Pride of Michigan we completed a fire drill, followed by shipboard firefighting instruction, Training in the Engine Room and training on ship operations (Pilot House Detail, Fantail Watch, Fly Bridge Detail and Line Handling). We are so thankful to have had Sea Cadets join us from 10 different divisions across 5 states!

The initial two days of the Great Lakes Division Training have concluded. In spite of the continuous rain in Harrison Township, MI, we optimized our experience. We obtained training in First Aid, CPR, and AED. Furthermore, we engaged in small group activities and received training on operations in the Pilot House, Line Handling, and Engine Room operations.

This weekend our Sea Cadets met at the Detroit Yacht Club for Dive Training and Swim Qualifications. We were lucky enough to have Dr. Daniel Harrison, Historical Archaeologist from Wayne State University to teach the cadets how to chart an underwater shipwreck.

Swim Qualification Day for the USNSCC GREAT LAKES DIVISION
**The US Naval Sea Cadets requires a current Swimming Qualification test annually for cadets to participate in any on- or in-water training, ensuring safety and readiness in maritime environments.**
The folks at the DYC (Detroit Yacht Club) encourage our cadets to be their best by inviting us into their historic club pool. Thank you for your hospitality.

Today our cadets leveled up — memorizing the 11 General Orders, learning how real logbooks are done, drilling military formations, and continuing work on our Sea Perch underwater robot 🤖🌊
They wired the remote control, soldered components, and used a multimeter like pros.
