Hey! We are still moving forward to an opening day! We are going to rest and enjoy this upcoming holiday season with a new grandbaby coming! It’s also our first without some very dear family members that have passed away.

For now we are going to offer a few things for sale online! Keep an eye out!

Did you know there are 40 cemeteries within the boundaries of the Buffalo National River? In Newton County, there are 17 cemeteries, Searcy County has 18, and Marion County has 5.

One of the cemeteries located in Searcy County is the Shipman Cemetery with 10 plots. Shipman Cemetery is approximately .14 acres and is located upstream from the Spring Creek River access area, on the opposite side of the river. This cemetery is difficult to get to and hard to find, but the Youth Conservation Corps, Boy Scouts of America, and families have helped to maintain some of these cemeteries over the years. If you visit any cemeteries within the park, remember to have a good map and please be respectful of the cemetery and the gravestones that you discover.
