The Arkansas Division of Emergency Management (ADEM) has activated the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) in anticipation of a significant winter storm forecast to impact much of Arkansas.
This elevated activation level allows state agencies and partners to coordinate closely, rapidly respond to resource requests from counties, and support life-safety, transportation, and power restoration needs as conditions deteriorate.

Please read and understand how Public Works plans to maintain our streets and your neighborhood. COO Wade Phillips said at the Council meeting that the expected snow and temperatures could be so cold that the street salt might not melt it. So some areas may have to wait for some sunshine plus city salt. Stay home if possible!

🚧 TRAFFIC ADVISORY – Beginning Wednesday, January 21, 2026

Starting Wednesday, January 21, 2026, CROUSE Construction will begin work on the next roundabout project on Goblin Drive.

🚗 Important Request for Drivers:
If you do not have students attending Harrison High School or Harrison Middle School, please avoid using Goblin Drive as a cut-through route during this construction phase. This will help reduce congestion and improve safety for students, parents, buses, and construction crews.

🔵 Parent Drop-Off Update:
Please refer to the new High School parent drop-off route shown in BLUE on the map for updated traffic flow and access during construction.

⏱️ Expect Delays & Drive with Caution:
Please expect delays, especially as parents and students adjust to the new traffic pattern. Use extra caution, remain patient, and watch for pedestrians, buses, and construction equipment in the area.

📵 School Zone Reminder:
Cell phone use is not allowed in school zones. Stay alert, keep your eyes on the road, and help keep our students safe.

📅 Project Timeline:
Construction on this section is estimated to be completed by sometime in April 2026, weather permitting.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as Construction crews work to improve traffic flow. It takes all of us to keep safety a priority in the area. Remember to slow down, follow posted signage, and allow extra travel time.

Thank you for helping keep our schools and community safe!
