Mrs. Bryantโ€™s science students conducted a hands-on balloon lab using vinegar and baking soda to explore the Law of Conservation of Mass and balancing chemical equations.

Students observed the chemical reaction as carbon dioxide gas inflated the balloon. They also investigated the difference between an open system and a closed system and discussed how gas escaping can affect the measured mass of a reaction.

Learning science through hands-on experiments makes chemistry fun! Great job, scientists!
