Boone County Conservation District Our Mission: To work with other organizations & land owners having similiar goals to promote the conservation of our natural resources.

The Conservation District works with the Natural Resource Conservation Service to provide assistance for the following programs:
Environmental Quality Incentives Program:
A Federal Cost Share program to install conservation practices , including pasture establishment, cross fencing, water facilities.

If your private pesticide applicator license expires June 30, 2026, watch your inbox or mailbox. Renewal applications will be sent out on May 4. Be sure to read the instructions thoroughly and submit your completed application as soon as possible to avoid processing delays.

We are happy to report that for this year's Stewardship Week we are giving out purple coneflower seed packets to all the schools in Boone County. This is a total of 1,000 seed packets! We hope to see coneflowers all around the county soon!

This Nutrient Applicator certification class is for anyone who applies fertilizer to 2.5 or more acres within the Nutrient Surplus Area of Arkansas (see attached map) and is not already certified.
