Our Back-to-School Event Was a Huge Success!

What an amazing day for our community! Thanks to the incredible support of our partners, we were able to serve over 150 local kids and help them get ready for a successful school year!

ROAD CLOSURE REMINDER – PAINT THE PAVEMENT

A reminder that 2nd Street, from the corner of M-61/Main Street down to the beech st, will be CLOSED today for Paint the Pavement.

Painting: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM today

Road Closure: The road will remain closed until tomorrow morning to allow the paint plenty of time to dry.

Please plan to use an alternate route during this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation while this fun community project takes place!

MAKING THEIR MARK ON OUR COMMUNITY!

The front half of Second Street will be closed beginning Tuesday morning at 6:00 AM as we prepare for Paint the Pavement, a special community event where children will have the opportunity to get creative and make their mark on our community!

Paint the Pavement will take place Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Road Closure: Front half of Second Street
Closure Begins: Tuesday at 6:00 AM
Event Time: Tuesday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Street Reopens: Wednesday at 6:00 AM

The street will remain closed overnight to allow the artwork to dry and help protect the children’s creations.

Please plan to use an alternate route during the closure. We’re looking forward to a fun day of creativity, community, and giving our kids the opportunity to leave their mark on Harrison!

Join us for Paint the Pavement: A Back-to-School Community Event on Tuesday, August 11, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in Downtown Harrison!
Help us transform our downtown sidewalks into colorful works of art while supporting local students as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
This is a fun, family-friendly event where everyone is welcome! Whether you're an artist or just want to lend a helping hand, your participation will help create a brighter, more welcoming community.
We're also collecting school supply donations to help Harrison students start the school year with confidence. Items such as backpacks, notebooks, pencils, crayons, folders, glue, scissors, and personal hygiene products are greatly appreciated.
Together, we can make a lasting impact—one brushstroke and one backpack at a time.

It is with disappointment that we announce the cancellation of this Saturday's Pet-A-Palooza event.

After careful consideration, we made the difficult decision to cancel due to a significant number of vendor cancellations. Our goal is always to provide a fun, high-quality event for our community, and unfortunately we are unable to deliver the experience we had planned.

We sincerely appreciate everyone who was looking forward to attending, as well as our vendors, volunteers, and community partners who supported this event. We know this is disappointing, and we truly appreciate your understanding.
